This was a personal piece with several factors behind why I wanted to do it. I, personally, am not religious, but I greatly enjoyed educating myself on the contents of the Bible and getting the opportunity to learn of such beings as this.
The Cherubim, for those unfamiliar with them, are a Biblical being, primarily mentioned in Ezekiel. Many variations of these beings have been depicted over the years, and I wanted to contribute my vision of them. I will note, the Cherubim have four heads total: a man, an ox, a lion, and an eagle, the eagle in which I have not shown. The eagle's head, in my variation of the piece, is behind the human's, thus not visible from a frontal view.
I do not wish to hear your input on whether I made it correctly. It is purely my interpretation of them.
Also, thanks for not commenting on how badly I draw wings! xD It was my first attempt, and even still I kind of half-assed the sketch of them and never went back to refine them. You're my wing-drawing hero..so I'll have to do better to not make you secretly cringe.
Psha I love your work I totally know what you're talking about. I always do a half ass sketch and then shrug and call it good. *laughs* what a fail I am
